Megalift

Megalift design and manufacture bespoke mobile heavy handling solutions. Their SLT (Side Loading Trailer) has been designed to lift up to 35 tonnes. It can deploy a container in 2 minutes and is a one-man operation. The Megalift SLT has Hydraulic Sliding Cranes which allow for lifting of 20′, 30′ or 40′ containers.

Problem

Operating the container lifter from the manual controls on the trailer was a time consuming task for the operator and required them to be in close proximity to the heavy moving load resulting in added safety concern.

Challenge

FSL Electronics were tasked with designing and manufacturing a bespoke remote control system to support the wireless operation of all functions of the Megalift SLT.

Solution

Our R&D team developed a complete wireless remote control solution, including remote control, internal control panel & cabled manual over-ride control for back-up where radio use is not possible, i.e air & sea ports or military zones.
