The Ultrasafe ® system from FSL provides cordless remote control of plant and machinery from within hazardous area zones 1 and 2. Simply pressing a button on the transmitter generates a pulsed infra-red beam, which is picked up by the receiver, activating the particular channel relay.
Using a combination of explosion protection concepts such as EExi, EExd and EExe, with extremely rugged design and build methods, the system is ideal for the most hostile of environments.

The system is available with two different hand sets providing up to 11 independent controlling operations. The rugged cordless handsets are certified intrinsically safe to EX ia IIB T4, and employ proven infra-red control technology to give the operator reliable control up to a distance of 25 metres.

The receiver is a certified EEx de IIC T6 and has a range of options to cater for fail safe requirements as well as high RFI environments.
